The Standards Act 1965—NZSI Code of Recommended Practice Withdrawn
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 24 September 1982, approved the withdrawal of the under-mentioned code of recommended practice published by the former New Zealand Standards Institute.

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

DZ 5430/2 Protective helmets for vehicle users. Gratis.
This is the 1980 edition of original Australian Standard AS 1698 which is now being considered for declaration as a New Zealand Standard. The earlier 1974 edition, based on an American Standard, was proposed for declaration in New Zealand but was not found acceptable.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 7401 Solid fuel burning heaters for domestic purposes. $5.
This draft Standard applies to solid-fuel fired heating appliances having an input rating not exceeding 50 kW that have provision for venting directly to the outdoors by means of flue pipes and chimneys and are intended primarily for domestic use.
The Standard will apply to appliances, factory or field-assembled, that have been, or could have been, completely assembled at the manufacturer's plant and transported in the assembled condition. Fireplaces and incinerators are not covered.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
