BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
TAKE notice that the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board proposes to take under the Public Works Act 1981, 804 square metres, being parts of Te Puia A1, Te Puia A2 and Te Puia A3, part Omanaia 36, Block II, Waoku Survey District, which is situated at Omanaia on State Highway 12, opposite and to the south-west of the Duddy’s Road intersection.

The taking of the land is considered essential as electricity supply to the South Hokianga at the present time is only just being maintained within the statutory voltage limits. Any future increase in load would have a detrimental effect on this voltage and the present growth rate is 6 percent per annum.
Objections by persons having any estate or interest in the land may be made to the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board, or their solicitors, Messrs Wallace, Spencer and Co., P.O. Box 8, Kaikohe, within 2 weeks of publication of this notice.
