Revoking as to Part a Proclamation Taking Land for the Tauranga-Te Maunga Motorway in the City of Tauranga

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 5th day of June 1970, and published in the Gazette No. 34, of 11 June 1970, at page 1010, taking land for the Tauranga-Te Maunga motorway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of land containing 8.6 perches, situated in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District, being part Lot 15, D.P. S. 2664; as shown coloured orange on S.O. Plan 45034, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 11th day of August 1982.

Pursuant to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.

REGULAR FORCE

COLONELS’ LIST

Colonel (temp. Brigadier) K. M. Gordon, O.B.E., to be Brigadier, and is transferred to the Brigadiers’ List with seniority and effect from 28 April 1982.

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Lieutenant Colonel John Milbanke Masters, M.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, in his present rank with effect from 17 May 1982.
Lieutenant W. J. Whiting, B.SOC.SC., to be temp. Captain with effect from 20 December 1981.
2nd Lieutenant M. J. Withers to be Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 14 June 1982.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) A. G. Connell to be Captain with seniority and effect from 12 June 1982.

THE CORPS OF ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS

The following Lieutenants and Quartermaster to be temp. Captain and Quartermaster with effect from 1 June 1982:

Larry Peter Oakes, B.E., is appointed to a commission on a fixed-term engagement in the rank of Captain, with seniority from 17 May 1978 and effect from 17 May 1982.

Lieutenant Colonel T. D. Macfarlane to be temp. Colonel with effect from 1 July 1982.
