Pureora Recreational Hunting Area
PURSUANT to section 27 of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Forests hereby gives notice that the area of land being approximately 18 750 hectares and forming part of Pureora State Forest Park north of State Highway 30, generally known as Pureora North Block as shown on plan S16/3, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service, Wellington, and with the Conservator of Forests, Auckland, shall form a recreational hunting area where the hunting of red deer and wild pigs as a means of recreation shall be used to control (though not exclusively) the number of those animals.
The area shall be known as the Pureora Recreational Hunting Area.
The following are the conditions under which the area may be used by the public.
CONDITIONS

No commercial hunting is allowed, except for the taking of possums under Forest Service permit, or on the direction of the Conservator of Forests.

The greatest care must be exercised at all times with fires. Fires shall be permitted only in huts, camps, or fireplaces provided or built expressly for that purpose. All fires must be in safe places and properly extinguished before being left. Only dead wood should be used for fuel. Any person responsible for fires getting out of control may be held liable for damage caused and for expenses incurred in fire-fighting in addition to any fines imposed.
The extent and location of any wild fire is to be reported immediately to a forest officer.

Lake Sumner Recreational Hunting Area
PURSUANT to section 27 of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Forests hereby gives notice that the area of approximately 41 000 hectares being part of Lake Sumner State Forest Park north of Hurunui River, west of Kiwi River and north of Hope River, together with part of Waiau State Forest west of Lewis Pass Road as shown on plan L32/3 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service, Wellington and with the Conservator of Forests, Christchurch, shall form a recreational hunting area where the hunting of red deer and chamois as a means of recreation shall be used to control (though not exclusively) the number of those animals.
The area shall be known as the Lake Sumner Recreational Hunting Area.
The following are the conditions under which the area may be used by the public.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws
I, Alexander King Ewing, Controller Marine Administration, pursuant to sections 8a (8) and 165 (9) of the Harbours Act 1950, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby approve the Rodney County Bylaw No. 1, 1980 General Amendment, made and adopted by the Rodney County Council at a meeting of the said Council held on Thursday, 25 September 1980.

Confiscation of Motor Vehicle—Criminal Justice Amendment Act (No. 2) 1976
PURSUANT to the Criminal Justice Act 1954, section 44b motor vehicle registration No. E.V. 1101, Ford Cortina motor car, engine No. 702F6015AA, chassis No. 113E454105, owned by Mr John William Cowlin, Flat 1, 572 Ferguson Drive, Upper Hutt, was confiscated by Judge N. C. Jaine in the District Court at Lower Hutt on the 28th day of May 1981, in accordance with the above Act.
