Tariff Notice No. 1981/89—Application for Variation of Determination

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for variation of a current determination of the Minister of Customs as follows:

Grinding wheels and discs, cutting off wheels (other than diamond or borzane wheels) of both vitrified and resinoid bond, viz:
(1) Solid wheels, straight, recessed, tapered or relieved with diameters of 75 mm to 305 mm and exceeding 3 mm but not exceeding 55 mm in thickness
(2) Reinforced cutting off wheels up to and including 356 mm in diameter
(3) Depressed centre wheels up to and including 230 mm in diameter
(4) Cup wheels up to 165 mm in diameter, but excluding:
(A) Type 6 straight cup with an overall thickness exceeding 75 mm
(B) Type 11 tapered or flaring cup with diameter exceeding 150 mm and/or overall thickness exceeding 63 mm

The identification reference to the application number indicates the office to which any objection should be made.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of this application should do so in writing to the appropriate office as indicated by the identification reference on or before 9 July 1981. Submissions should include a reference to the identification reference, application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned and be supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
