The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 6207 Rigid PVC conduit and fittings for electrical wiring. $5 (Revision of NZS 2250: Part 1: 1969, and NZS 2250: Part 2: 1970).

This draft standard provides a specification for rigid PVC conduit and fittings intended for the enclosure and protection of cables used in the wiring of electrical installations.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 4210 Part B Design of reinforced masonry. $7.

The current New Zealand masonry design code, NZS 1900: Chapter 9.2, is out of date.

This draft provides what is believed to be a rational basis for the design of masonry structures that will result in safe and economical buildings. Using it as the basis for a revised standard code, practical suggestions for improvement are now being invited from the design profession.
