The Standard Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5418:—The containment of hazardous substances for multi-modal transport—
Part 1: Large containers $5.00.

This draft standard covers rigid portable tanks of greater than 450 litres water capacity for the transport of hazardous liquids by sea, road, or rail. The draft excludes tanks for the transport of liquids with greater vapour pressure than 294 kPa absolute at 50°C. Design, materials, testing, marking, and certification of tanks are covered as are the requirements for the handling of many different hazardous substances.
