State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—Pukekohe Stream Ecological Area—Auckland Conservancy

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protecting the kauri-hard beech stands above the junction of the main Pukekohe Stream and the tributary Driving Stream, within Omahuta State Forest. The area so dedicated will be known as the Pukekohe Stream Ecological Area.

Assigning a Consent to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby assigns to Alan Joseph Quinn and Mary Clare Quinn of Canvastown, a consent, dated 2 February 1970, authorising Heino Pops, goldminer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity (New Zealand Gazette, No. 12, 5 March 1970, page 373), the consent having been previously assigned to William Alfred Simmons of Canvastown (Gazette, No. 114, 10 November 1977, page 2934).
