WHEREAS by virtue of Maori Land Development Notice, Wanganui 1981, No. 2, certain notices under Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 were revoked.

Now, therefore, in partial replacement of that notice the Maori Land Board, acting pursuant to section 330 (7) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, hereby gives notice as follows:

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purposes of a turangawaewae, scenic reserve and recreation area to be known as Te Makomako Maori Reservation for the common use and benefit of the people of Ngati Rangita, Ngati Tuataka, Ngati Tuhingaroto, Ngati Ruamahihu, Ngati Ranginui, Ngati Wetenga, Ngati Purua, Ngati Tutemahuta, Ngati Urumanga, Ngati Rua and Ngati Kaheke.
