Cancelling the Reservation of Maori Freehold Land

PURSUANT to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Reservation of Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a marae and meeting place, and site for a Ratana Church for the common use and benefit of the people of Whangarei and the descendants of Tiakiriri Kukupa, and known as Whangarei-Otai ka Marae, by a notice dated 4 May 1979, and published in New Zealand Gazette of 10 May 1979, No. 38, p. 1464, is hereby cancelled.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wanganui Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wanganui Licensing Committee, on 6 March 1981, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the New Taihape Hotel, Taihape.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve), and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

National Roads Board—Declaring a State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 March 1981, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 50 (Napier to Takapau), from the Ngaruroro River to its junction with Kereru Road as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 7 of plan LA30/91/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Napier, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 March 1981, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff), from its junction with Opua Street, Orari, to the boundary of the Borough of Temuka, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 3 of plan LA64/29/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Timaru, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Development Act 1979—Application by Petralgas Chemicals (N.Z.) Limited and Others—Publication of Report and Recommendations

In accordance with the requirements of subsection (1) of section 10 of the Act, the Tribunal has prepared and submitted to the Minister of National Development a written report and recommendation on the application referred to it on 20 August 1980. As required by subsection 2 (c) of that section, copies of the report and recommendation are available at the office of the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Second Floor, Databank House, 175 The Terrace, Wellington. A fee of $5 per copy will be charged. Copies are also available for inspection only, from the Tribunal Division offices, Department of Justice, at Auckland and Christchurch and the High Court at New Plymouth and Dunedin.

New Zealand Dairy Board—Notice of Election of Members for South Auckland, Southern and Taranaki Wards

I, Peter Charles Horne, returning officer, appointed under section 10 of the Dairy Board Act 1961, do hereby give notice of a poll to elect a member for the South Auckland Ward, and a member for the Southern Ward, and a member for the Taranaki Ward No. 2 on the New Zealand Dairy Board; and I do hereby give further notice that Wednesday, 15 April 1981, is the date on which the rolls of electors for these wards shall be closed; that the nominations of candidates for the election of one member for each of the said wards must be in my hands by noon on Wednesday, 20 May 1981; and that in the event of more than one candidate being nominated in any of the said wards, a poll will be held and such poll will be closed at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, 24 June 1981.
