  1. In the Tauranga Harbour no maimai shall be erected that will impede the use of navigable channels and waters of the harbour.
  2. Maimais erected in the Tauranga Harbour must be dismantled and removed at the close of the season.

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. except that during the period of 29 June 1981 to 25 October 1981 inclusive, and 6 February 1982 to 14 March 1982 inclusive, Canada goose may be hunted or killed 24 hours per day.
Decoy limit: Wainono Lagoon, maximum 25; rest of district, no limit.

Special Conditions

  1. No person shall, for the purposes of hunting or killing game, build, or attempt to build, any stand, hide, shelter, maimai, mud-hole, loo, louvre, or position before 9 a.m. on 15 March 1981.

It shall be an offence to hunt or kill game from any unmoored boat on the Turakina River during the first 2 days of the open season for game only, being Saturday, 2 May 1981, and Sunday, 3 May 1981.
