Annual Levy Prescribed Under the Wine Makers Levy Act 1976 (Notice No. 2557 Ag. 12/2/23)

PURSUANT to section 4 (1) of the Wine Makers Levy Act 1976, and on the recommendation of the Wine Institute of New Zealand Incorporated, I hereby prescribe an annual levy of 25 cents per hectolitre on the grape wine sold by every holder of a grape wine licence during the year ended 30 September 1980, to be applied in meeting the costs of administration and operation of the Wine Institute of New Zealand Incorporated in the year to 30 June 1982.

National Development Act 1979—Environmental Impact Report Notified—Proposed Synthetic Petrol Plant at Motunui, North Taranaki

THE provisions of the National Development Act 1979 having been applied to a proposal by New Zealand Synthetic Fuels Corporation Limited to construct a synthetic petrol plant at Motunui and an Environmental Impact Report having been forwarded to me, I hereby give notice under section 5 of the Act that I have made the following arrangements to make the report available for public inspection and sale, and for submissions to be received.

  1. Copies of the report are available for inspection as set out in Schedule A below.

  2. Submissions on the Environmental Impact Report are invited. These should reach the Commission no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 21 April. (Please note the Commission’s new post office address: P.O. Box 10-241, Wellington).

Any written submissions may be reproduced in whole or in part in the Commission’s audit. It is requested that these be made in dark legible script on A4 sized paper.

  1. Copies of the report may be purchased by presenting $5 at the following locations—
    Wellington: Commission for the Environment office.
    New Plymouth: Department of Lands and Survey office.
    Waitara: Clifton County Council office.

SCHEDULE A

LOCATIONS where copies of the Environmental Impact Report may be inspected:

  1. The Commission for the Environment library.
  2. University libraries.
  3. Major public libraries throughout New Zealand.
  4. Taranaki libraries as follows: Eltham, Hawera, Inglewood, Kaponga, Oakura, New Plymouth, Opunake, Patea, Stratford, Waverley, Waitara.
  5. Other North Taranaki locations as follows:
    (a) New Plymouth: Department of Lands and Survey, Public Relations Office, Citizens Advice Bureau;
    (b) Bell Block: Book and Gift Centre;
    (c) Waitara: Clifton County Council, Information Centre;
    (d) Urenui: Post Office, Dunbar Cash Stores Ltd.;
    (e) Tikorangi: Tikorangi Food Market.
