Appointment of Members of the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve Management Committee (No. 2553, Ag. 9/6/21/4)

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Marine Reserves Act 1971, as amended by the Marine Reserves Amendment Act 1977, I hereby appoint

Evan Graham Turbott, museum director, Auckland, on the nomination of the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park Board;

Dr John Howard Choat, scientist, Auckland, on the nomination of the New Zealand Marine Sciences Society;

Charles Kenroy Munro, councillor, Whangarei, on the nomination of the Northland United Council;

Allan Vincent Fowler, dental surgeon, Auckland, on the nomination of the New Zealand Underwater Association Inc.;

Charles Hare Kake, foreman, Whangarei, on the nomination of the Tai Tokerau District Maori Council; and

Peter William Mahood, solicitor, Whangarei, on the nomination of recreational fishing and boating organisations;

as members of the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve Management Committee, and

Thomas Edward Norris, public servant, Wellington,

as Chairman of the above-named committee. All appointments are to come into effect on the 18th day of February 1981.
