Appointment of a Member of the Westland Catchment Board

As the Inangahua County, a constituent district of the Westland Catchment Board, failed to elect a representative to that Board, His Excellency the Governor-General acting pursuant to section 51 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby appoints

Herbert Patrick Bade, contractor, of Reefton

to be a member of the Westland Catchment Board.

The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1981

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 16th day of February 1981

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 43 (4) of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority is entitled to exercise all the powers, authorities, and discretions vested in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960: And whereas the said Auckland Regional Authority has petitioned the Governor-General that certain land be included in the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District:

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to section 8 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1981. (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1981.

  2. Inner area extended—The boundaries of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District are hereby altered so as to include the land described in the First Schedule to this order.

  3. Determination of financial obligations—The financial obligations and assessment under the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960 of the Manukau City Council with respect to the land described in the First Schedule to this order shall be determined on and from the 1st day of April 1981.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that area in North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 1, Land Transfer Plan 83859, in Block X, Otahuhu Survey District, and being on the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1961, p. 422, and proceeding north-easterly along that boundary to the southernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 59649, thence south-easterly along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1964, p. 278, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 13, D.P. 28571; thence westerly along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1972, p. 486, to the intersection of the northern boundary of Lot 13, aforesaid and the eastern boundary of Lot 1, Land Transfer Plan 83859; thence northerly along the said eastern boundary of that Lot 1 to the point of commencement.

Ngati Tahu Tribal Trust Declared a Leasing Authority Under the Maori Affairs Act 1953

PURSUANT to section 235A of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the Ngati Tahu Tribal Trust (constituted a trust on 18 February 1980, pursuant to section 438 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953), to be a leasing authority within the meaning of that Act.

THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Rotorua Branch Order 1981.

  2. Exemption—The New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Rotorua Branch, an organisation approved, under the name of the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Incorporated), Rotorua Branch, by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption, in respect of its sheltered workshop at 31 Brice Street, Taupo, from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) The Annual Holidays Act 1944, the Minimum Wage Act 1945, and section 34 of the Factories Act 1946.
