Declaring Land in Otago Land District, Vested in the Otago Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—SILVERPEAKS COUNTY

Amending Proclamation Setting Out Restrictions as to the Use of Boats in a Wildlife Refuge in the Ashburton Acclimatisation District

DAVID BEATTIE, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the restrictions as to the use of boats on Lake Clearwater in the Ashburton Acclimatisation District set out in the Third Schedule to the proclamation published on the 21st day of February 1957* and hereby declare that the restrictions as to the use of boats in the Schedule hereto shall apply to Lake Clearwater.

SCHEDULE
The use of boats on Lake Clearwater is hereby restricted to boats wholly propelled by oars, paddles or sails, provided that:

  1. Those boats propelled by sails shall be restricted to recreational sailing craft of not more than 100 kg nett weight.
  2. No boats are to be moored on the lake overnight.
  3. Sailing craft are only to be used between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  4. Any other conditions as may be set from time to time by the Minister of Internal Affairs are complied with.

PURSUANT to section 422 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, and used as a roadway, to be road, and to be vested in the Bay of Islands County Council.
