Remembrance Day 1981
CITIZENS throughout New Zealand are requested to observe
Remembrance Day on Sunday, 8 November.
The observance of this day should be similar to that of
Remembrance Day last year. Two minutes’ silence should be
observed from 11 a.m.
The Government trusts that all churches will agree to
arrange, as far as practicable, for a morning service on this
day, to commence at such time as to enable two minutes’
silence to be observed at 11 o’clock.
When a citizens’ memorial service is held, it is suggested
that it should be at the local cenotaph or war memorial.

that the result of the weekly prize draw No. 5 for 31
October 1981 is as follows:

St Gerard’s School, Alexandra (Attendance Dues) Notice 1981
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives
the following notice approving the charging of attendance dues
at St Gerard’s School, Alexandra.
NOTICE
-
This notice shall be cited as the St Gerard’s School,
Alexandra (Attendance Dues) Notice 1981. -
The proprietor of St Gerard’s School, Alexandra, may
enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons
accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the
above-mentioned school requiring them to pay attendance dues. -
The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall
be $45 per annum. -
Attendance dues received by the proprietor may be used
for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for
such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated
facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may
be required or approved by the Minister of Education pursuant
to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration
Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other
charges associated with any of the land and buildings that
constitute the integrated school.

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the
Minister of Education gives the following notice:

(a) This notice may be cited as the Chanel College
Board of Governors Notice 1981.
(b) This notice shall come into force on 11 November -
The Board of Governors of Chanel College shall be
constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the education board of the
district of Masterton;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending
the school;
(d) Four members appointed by the proprietor of the
school.

constituted as follows:

(c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending
the school;
(d) Four members appointed by the proprietor of the
school.

Schools Notice 1981.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of
November 1981. -
The following schools are hereby placed under the
Nelson Secondary Schools’ Council:
Golden Bay High School
Motueka High School -
The Board of Governors of Golden Bay High School
and Motueka High School shall continue as constituted prior
to this notice.
