The Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 1, 1981

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

N O T I C E

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 1, 1981.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 2, 1971, dated the 16th day of March 1971† issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956 is hereby revoked.

Drain Road: from the Leeston-Christchurch Road to a point 900 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from the Leeston-Christchurch Road.

Increase in the Heavy Engineering Research Levy

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Heavy Engineering Research Levy Act 1978, and following due consultation with the New Zealand Manufacturing Engineers’ Federation (Inc.), I have authorised an increase in the heavy engineering research levy with effect from 1 February 1981. The rate of the said levy will increase on that date from $1.50 per tonne to $3 per tonne of those goods and items described in the Second Schedule to the above Act.
