The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 5812 Industrial protective gloves. $5.
This draft standard provides safety requirements for the manufacture of industrial protective gloves and makes recommendations for the selection of gloves for protection against particular industrial hazards. It applies to 23 types of glove in the following five groups: Thread-sewn (including leather, asbestos, fabric, loop pile, and coated fabrics); PVC-coated; rubber; chain mail; and machine knit.
The Standard updates and will ultimately replace NZS 1988:1965 Industrial protective gloves and NZSR 9:1965 The use of industrial protective gloves.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.
The closing date for receipt of comment is 12 February 1982.
