The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5807/A1 Draft amendment to NZS 5807:1980 Code of practice for industrial identification by colour, wording, or other coding. (Gratis)

This draft amendment will generally align colour coding of portable fire extinguishers with BS 5423:1980 Portable fire extinguishers.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 15 January 1982.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 4223:— Glass and glazing—

Part 2: Code of practice for the selection and installation of manufactured sealed insulating glass units. $5.

This is Part 2 of the draft revision of NZS 2258:1969. It sets out proposed requirements for the selection and installation of manufactured sealed insulating glass units and has been prepared in response to the increasing interest in insulation for energy conservation and noise control. Further guidelines for the selection of thermal control and soundproof glass are given in DZ 4223:Part 1 which is also available for comment. Comments on Part 1 close on 27 November.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

Note—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 16 January 1982.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

Notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965 and with effect from 31 December 1981.

All these standards are overseas standards published and adopted before 1966. No New Zealand amendments have been issued to them, they are not cited in New Zealand legislation.

Where continued use of any of these standards in New Zealand is considered necessary they will be endorsed subject to specific reasons being provided in each case.

Any person therefore who may be affected by the proposal to revoke any of these standard specifications, and who wishes to request their endorsement, is invited to submit supporting comments for their endorsement to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 19 November 1981.
