Acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council Her Majesty:
At the instance of the Minister of Finance approved an Order in Council making the Coinage Regulations 1967, Amendment No. 10:
At the instance of the Minister of Defence approved an instrument appointing Brigadier Robin Guy Williams, M.B.E., as Chief on General Staff in the rank of Major-General:
At the instance of the Minister in Charge of the Inland Revenue Department approved an Order in Council making the Double Taxation Relief (Switzerland) Order 1981.
At the conclusion of the formal business of the Council Her Majesty was graciously pleased:
On the advice of the Prime Minister to give Her Assent to the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981:
On the advice of the Minister of Internal Affairs to approve a Warrant amending the Warrant of the New Zealand Fire Brigades Long Service and Good Conduct Medal:
On the advice of the Minister of Justice to approve the Warrant of the New Zealand Prison Service Medal.
The Queen was also graciously pleased to accept:
From the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, a set of 1981 Proof Coins, including the 1981 Royal Visit Commemorative Dollar:
From the Postmaster-General, on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, an Album of Postage Stamps issued since Her Majesty's Visit in 1977.

Appointment of Chief of General Staff of the New Zealand Army
PURSUANT to section 27 (2) of the Defence Act 1971 and the Royal Powers Act 1953, Her Majesty the Queen, acting by and with the advice and consent of Her Executive Council, has this day been pleased to sign a Warrant, to take effect on the 16th day of November 1981, appointing Brigadier Robin Guy Williams, M.B.E., to be Chief of General Staff of the New Zealand Army, in the rank of Major-General.
