Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that the following school will enter into the State education system in accordance with the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, with effect from 7 September 1981.

St. Joseph’s School, Park Street, Ashburton.

A copy of the integration agreement is available for inspection at the Department of Education, Head Office, Government Building, Wellington.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in those notices were declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas by reason of changes in appellation and area it is considered necessary to replace the notice aforesaid.

Now therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1981, No. 9.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957

WHEREAS the Director-General of Social Welfare (hereinafter referred to as “the Director-General”) has had in his possession since 1973 a diamond engagement ring which was recovered from a certain child whilst that child was under the guardianship of the Director-General, and whereas the said child subsequently admitted to the Director-General that the said ring had been stolen by him, and whereas the Director-General has made extensive enquires through the Police of New Zealand in an endeavour to locate the owner of the said ring, and whereas the said Police have been unable to either locate the owner of the said ring or to prove any offence in respect of the stealing of the said ring, and whereas the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is not known who the owner of the said ring is or where the owner is or whether the owner is alive or dead, and whereas the gross value of the said ring (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed four thousand dollars ($4,000) and for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee is satisfied
