PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commodore Denis Hyland O'Donoghue, O.B.E., is placed on the Retired List, with effect from 26 March 1981.

Commander C. J. Carl to be Captain, with seniority and effect from 1 June 1981.

Lieutenant Commander David Erskine Charles Barratt, M.B.E., is transferred to the Retired List of the RNZN, and re-employed on the Active List, with effect from 7 April 1981.

The engagement of Lieutenant Commander (acting Commander) C. R. Vennell, O.B.E., is extended to 8 February 1983.

Lieutenant Commander Robert John Tucker is placed on the Retired List, with effect from 12 February 1981.

The engagement of Lieutenant Commander T. C. M. Raven, M.B.E., is extended to 19 December 1982.
