State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—the Parakawai Geological Area Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949, the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protection, maintenance, of geological features and management of trees and other plants, and for the protection of native wildlife consistent with the proper use and management of State forest land. The State forest land so dedicated shall be known as the Parakawai Geological Area.

PART Whangamata No. 3 Block, Block III, Ohinemuri Survey District: area 68.0000 hectares, more or less. (S.O. 49525)

As shown on plan N.49/36, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

NOTES:

1. The camping or lighting of fires within the dedicated area is prohibited.

2. No felling or removal of timber, forest produce, native plants, or disturbance of the soil is permitted except for scientific or forest or wildlife management purposes as approved by the Minister of Forests.

3. The dedicated area encompasses the Parakawai Quarries containing rare volcanic formations which have been exposed by earlier quarrying and are of special geological interest.

The Fire Service Appeal Board Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 80 (9) of the Fire Service Act 1975, the Minister of Local Government hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fire Service Appeal Board Notice 1980.
   (2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

2. Appointment of Acting Chairman of the Fire Service Appeal Board—To fill a temporary vacancy caused by the absence of the present Chairman, Judge John Stephen Bispham is hereby appointed as Acting Chairman of the Fire Service Appeal Board until the 28th day of October 1980.

Milk Producer Prices and Allowances Notice 1980 Amendment No. 3 (No. 2431, Ag. 4/51/12)

PURSUANT to section 25 (2) of the Milk Act 1967, the Minister of Agriculture hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Milk Producer Prices and Allowances Notice 1980, Amendment No. 3.
   (2) This notice shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of September 1979.

2. The First Schedule to the Milk Producer Prices and Allowances Notice 1980 (as substituted by the Milk Producer Prices and Allowances Notice 1980, Amendment No. 2) is hereby revoked and the Schedule to this notice is hereby substituted therefore.

3. The Milk Producer Prices and Allowances Notice 1980, Amendment No. 2, is hereby consequently revoked.

Exemption from Jurisdiction of Public Sector Tribunal and of any Single Service Tribunal

PURSUANT to the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977, the Minister of State Services hereby excludes from Tribunal jurisdiction the position in the State Services specified in the Schedule hereto, on the ground that the said position involves substantial responsibility, not only for management, but also for formulating and advising on policy, and declares that the said position is excluded from Parts II to VIII of the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977.

PURSUANT to section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Continental Airlines Incorporated of Los Angeles, United States of America, have applied for an amendment to their International Air Service Licence to operate air services for the carriage of passengers, cargo, and mail between New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. Further details of the proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Private Bag, Wellington.
