Notice Declaring Pennisetum Macrourum a Class B Noxious Plant (No. 2430, Ag. 12/10/10)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares Pennisetum macrourum to be a Class B noxious plant in those parts of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of:
    (a) The Palmerston North Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee;
    (b) The Canterbury Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee;
    (c) The Hamilton Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee;
    (d) The Hastings Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee; and
    (e) The Nelson Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after the date of notification in the Gazette.

Notice Declaring Wild Oats a Class B Noxious Plant (Notice No. 2320, Ag. 12/10/10/1)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares wild oats (Avena fatua and Avena persica) to be a noxious plant throughout New Zealand.

  2. Terms defined in part I of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, and used in this notice have the meanings as so defined.

  3. The control programme proposed and approved by the Noxious Plants Council in relation to wild oats applies only to wild oat seed, whether as a contaminant of other seed or otherwise, intended for sowing within New Zealand. For the purposes of this programme any person may request a Noxious Plants Officer to:
    (a) Take a sample of any seed lot owned by that person or in which that person may have an interest and have it analysed pursuant to section 48 of the Act.
    (b) Advise that person of methods of treatment of any matter so as to render any wild oat seed no longer viable.

  4. Except as provided in clause 3 of this notice, any occupier or any person in possession of or having control over wild oat seed not intended for sowing within New Zealand, need take no further action in respect of controlling wild oats unless he so wishes.

This notice shall come into force on the 7th day of August 1980.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Manawatu Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser, Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee, on 18 June 1980, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Cafe de Paris Tavern, Palmerston North.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday and Tuesday—Opening at 9 o'clock in the morning and closing at 8 o'clock in the evening.

(b) On any Wednesday and Thursday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

(c) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

(d) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

(e) On any New Year's Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

PURSUANT to clause 20 of the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979, notice is hereby given that as only two persons were duly nominated in the Northern Ward for election to the office of producers representatives on the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee, I do declare, Arnold James Barlow, and Graham Robert Smeaton, being the persons so nominated, to be duly elected as producers representatives in respect of the Northern Ward.
