His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to constitute and appoint

The Right Honourable Sir Ronald Keith Davison, G.B.E., C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand,

to be Deputy of the Governor-General commencing at 1.15 p.m. on the 25th day of July 1980 and during the period of the temporary absence of the Governor-General from the seat of Government while visiting the Cook Islands.
