Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, notice is
hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been set apart as State forest land, as from the date of
publication hereof.

SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—CLIFTON COUNTY
87.8300 hectares, more or less, being Section 24, Block VII,
and Section 30, Block VIII, Mimi Survey District. All Gazette
Extract 257614. S.O. Plan 11279.

State Forest Land Set Apart as Dedicated Areas—
Westland Conservancy

Pursuant to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted
by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and
amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976),
the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the various
areas of land described in the Schedule hereto are hereby
set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protection, main-
tenance, and management of trees and other plants, and for
amenity, recreational, scenic, and aesthetic purposes consistent
with the proper use and management of State forest land.
The various areas of State forest land so dedicated shall be
known by the names shown.

SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—GREY AND WESTLAND COUNTIES
UPPER ARAHURA AMENITY AREA being part R. 1621, part
R. 1678, part R2061, and part R2143, situated in Blocks XV
and XVI, Waimoa Survey District: area, 500 hectares (State
Forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1957, page 1285, 1961, page
806, and 1969, page 267), as more particularly delineated on
S.O. 10129. As shown on plan S51/25 deposited in the Head
Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Shamrock Creek Amenity Area being part R1612, part R1660,
part R1674 and part R1702, situated in Blocks III and IV,
Kopara Survey District: area, 812 hectares (State Forest
by New Zealand Gazette, 1940, page 1786), as more particularly
delineated on S.O. 10136. As shown on plan S52/15 deposited
in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at
Wellington.

NOTES—Within the above areas no person shall:

  1. Light any fire except in places provided or properly
    constructed fireplaces, nor leave any such fire unattended.
  2. Take any vehicle or horse on to the area, except on
    formed roads.
  3. Introduce to the area any flora or fauna (especially
    domestic animals or stock) alien to the indigenous forest of
    the area.
  4. Enter with any firearm or poison or trap without first
    obtaining a permit from the Forest Service.
  5. Fell or remove timber forest produce, native plants or
    fauna or disturb or remove any rock, soil or mineral except
    for scientific or forest management or other purposes approved
    by the Minister of Forests.

area of State forest land so dedicated shall be known by the
name shown.

REEFTON AMENITY AREA—NELSON LAND DISTRICT—
INANGAHAU COUNTY
STATE forest situated in Block XVI, Mai Mai Survey District,
Block IV, Mawheraiti Survey District, and Blocks V, IX,
XIII, Reefton Survey District: area, 1083.1821 hectares (part
State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1920, p. 2111, and
Forest Amendment Act 1973, comprising 124.0 hectares shown
as area A on S.O. Plan 12570, and part State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1962, p. 724, comprising 124.3194
hectares, shown as area B on S.O. Plan 12570, and part
State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1958, p. 591, comprising
650.0 hectares, shown as area C on S.O. Plan 12570, and
part State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1949, p. 743,
comprising 34.3299 hectares shown as area D on S.O. Plan
12570, and part State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1947,
p. 1430, comprising 63.404 hectares shown as area E on
S.O. Plan 12570, and part State forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1947, p. 1430, comprising 87.1288 hectares shown
as area F on S.O. Plan 12570).

As shown on plan S.38/23, deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Approval of Hospitals for the Purposes of Section 16 (1) of the
Medical Practitioners Act 1968

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 16 of the Medical
Practitioners Act 1968, the Minister of Health, acting on the
recommendation of the Medical Council, hereby approves of
the hospitals specified in the second column of the Schedule
hereto, and controlled in each case by the authority indicated
in respect thereof in the first column of that Schedule, as hos-
pitals in which any person who is for the time being condition-
ally registered under that Act may practise medicine or surgery.

This notice amends the notice of approval of hospitals pub-
lished in the Gazette of 1979, No. 79, p. 2519, and that notice
is hereby revoked.
