Appointment of Examiner Under the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952

PURSUANT to a delegation under the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, I, Hubert David Maurice Jones, Director, Marine Division, hereby appoint William Young to be an examiner in terms of section 20 of the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952, for the purposes of granting:

(a) Certificates of Competency as:

(1) Master of home trade ship,
(2) Mate of home trade ship,
(3) Master of small home trade ship,
(4) Tug master home trade,
(5) Master of river ship,
(6) Skipper of deep-sea fishing boat,
(7) Mate of deep-sea fishing boat, and
(8) Skipper of coastal fishing boat, and

(b) Certificates as:

(1) Master of pleasure yacht (ocean), and
(2) Master of pleasure yacht (coastal);

with effect from the date hereof.
