Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Te Awamutu Borough Council
Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, vests the said reserve in the Te Awamutu Borough Council in trust for that purpose.

7045 square metres, more or less, being Lot 78, D.P.S. 26877, being part Allotment 274, Puniu Parish, situated in Block III, Puniu Survey District. All certificate of title, No. 25A/560.

Declaration that Lands Are Reserves
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga County Council on the 1st day of October 1979:
"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by the said County in fee simple and, described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same are hereby, declared to be reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the said lands, within the meaning of the said Act."

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a place of historical and scenic interest and as a place of spiritual and emotional association with the Marutuahu and the Te Arawa, and for the common use and benefit of the descendants of both Marutuaha and Tama te Kapua.

All that piece of land situated in Block II, Moehau Survey District, and described as follows:—
Area ha Being 60.7028 Mochau No. 10 as created by a memorial of ownership of the Maori Land Court dated 13 September 1878.

Cancellation of Registration as a Teacher
Pursuant to section 135 (1) of the Education Act 1964, the name of Michael Egbert Pratt has been removed from the Teachers Register and his Teachers Certificate has been cancelled.

Commerce Act 1975
- By letter dated 25 March 1980 the Minister of Trade and Industry has required the Commerce Commission to enquire, pursuant to section 82 (7) of the Act, and report to him on the desirability of removing from the Positive List of Controlled Goods and Services 1977 the wholesale and retail margins applied to—
"Butter, manufactured in New Zealand, except when sold—
(a) Ex factory; or
(b) In portions not exceeding 30g."
(Government has recently removed butter prices at the manufacturing level from Positive List control.)
A copy of the full text of the Minister's letter is available on application to the Commission.

The Minister has asked that the report of the Commission cover in particular:
(a) whether price control in terms of section 82 of the Act should be continued; or
(b) whether price restraint in terms of section 83 would be warranted if price control were removed; or
(c) such other recommendations as the Commission thinks fit. -
The Minister has asked that the report be sent to him by 30 September 1980 but that he would be willing to extend that date should the need arise.

As a first step, the Commission requests any persons or organisations who may wish to apply to be a party to the inquiry, in terms of section 14, to notify the Executive Officer of the Commission of this in writing by 4 p.m., Thursday, 1 May 1980. This notification is to give reasons in support of the application and to indicate whether the applicant supports or is opposed to the removal of price control.

The Commission proposes to sit, for the purpose of hearing party applications received, on Tuesday, 6 May 1980, commencing at 10.30 a.m., at its office, Sixth Floor, Chase-NBA House, 163 The Terrace, Wellington.

At that time, or shortly after, the Commission will set a date for the main hearing to commence.

Boundaries of Rotorua District Defined
Pursuant to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary for Local Government hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Rotorua District, following the union of the City of Rotorua and the County of Rotorua, to form the Rotorua District by Order in Council, made on 12 March 1979, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 March 1979, No. 21, p. 684.
