THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
No. 32
ADMINISTRATION IN NEW ZEALAND'S MULTI-RACIAL SOCIETY
Edited by R. H. Brookes and I. H. Kawharu
$2
138 p.
Race is a word which nowadays arouses strong feelings. In New Zealand there is little opposition in principle to the Government's policy of integration, but its success depends on the skill with which it is implemented.
Series No. 13. (New Zealand Institute of Public Administration.)

BALLROOM DANCING—A guide book for teachers and pupils
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
$3
89 p. 1978
Almost all people as they move through their teens to adulthood are introduced to the undoubtedly pleasurable and universal activity, ballroom dancing.
As a new edition to the sports instruction series this book makes an effort to cover the basic steps in a variety of dances. It is intended mainly for beginners and therefore the more technical terms or finer amounts of turn and footwork are not included.
The book is well illustrated throughout with black and white photos and line drawings.
BETWEEN GOVERNMENTS AND BANKS
By Dr Hawke
$7.50
244 p.
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand was established in 1933-34 but today's institution bears little resemblance to the one that was originally constructed by the 1933 legislation. The author, with a combination of historical and economic skill, covers the story and makes an assessment of the Bank's performance to date. A valuable contribution to New Zealand's historical record.
