Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby declare the said land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land situated in Block IV, Otanake Survey District, and described as follows:

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 28th day of January 1980

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. B. E. TALBOYS PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the union of Stratford County and Whangamomona Pest Destruction Districts Order 1980.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The Stratford County Pest Destruction District (which was constituted pursuant to section 13A, Rabbits Act 1955, on the 18th day of November 1964) and the Whangamomona Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 20th day of March 1972), are hereby declared united to form one district to be called the Stratford County Pest Destruction District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

  2. The basis on which the board for the said District shall first levy its general rate shall be a graduated scale according to a classification of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE STRATFORD COUNTY PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT

The boundaries of the Stratford County Pest Destruction District shall be that area of land contained in the following districts:

Stratford County Pest Destruction District Order, section 13A, Rabbits Act 1955, 18 November 1964.

Whangamomona Pest Destruction District Order, New Zealand Gazette, 6 April 1972, No. 3, p. 734.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Relinquishments, Cancellations, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.

SEA CADET CORPS

Appointments

Lieutenant R. P. McDonald is appointed Unit Commander TS Waireka with effect from 31 December 1979.

The following personnel are appointed to a cadet commission in the rank and seniority from the dates shown:

Michael John Garlick, Sub Lieutenant on probation, with effect 19 November 1979.

Margaret Anne Braid, Ensign, on probation, with effect 5 December 1979.

Janice Claudette Sherley, Ensign, on probation, with effect 16 January 1980.

Promotions

The following officers are promoted to the rank and with seniority from the dates shown:

Lieutenant R. P. McDonald, Lieutenant Commander, 19 January 1980.

Sub Lieutenant R. B. Binnie, Lieutenant, 19 January 1980.

Sub Lieutenant P. W. Dacombe-Bird, Lieutenant, 27 January 1980.

Extension

Lieutenant J. N. Millar is granted an extension to his cadet commission until 27 November 1980.

Retirement

Lieutenant Commander Adam Gibson Scott retires from his cadet commission and his appointment as Unit Commander TS Waireka, with effect from 13 December 1979.

Resignations

The following officers resign their cadet commissions from the dates shown:

Lieutenant William Robert Hutton, 7 February 1980.

Ensign Alaister Selwyn Jones, 6 December 1979.

Transfer

Lieutenant Commander P. W. Win relinquishes his appointment as Unit Commander, Nelson College, and is transferred to the Supernumerary List, with effect from 19 December 1979.

SCHOOL CADET CORPS

Appointments

Captain W. F. O'Leary is appointed Temporary Unit Commander, Nelson College, with effect from 19 December 1979.

Resignation

Lieutenant John Radford Wehipeihana resigns his cadet commission with effect from 3 December 1979.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Appointments

Flying Officer K. J. Lynch is appointed Temporary Squadron Commander No. 29 (Rotorua) ATC Squadron, with effect from 23 August 1979.

The following personnel are appointed to a cadet commission in the rank and with seniority from the dates shown:

Gilbert Allan Mains, Flying Officer, on probation, with effect 3 April 1979.

Audrey Marion Breen, Pilot Officer, on probation, with effect 25 October 1979.

Ngatote Moeke, Pilot Officer, on probation, with effect 9 November 1979.

Douglas Hamilton Fisher, Pilot Officer, on probation, with effect 16 November 1979.

Jon Trevis Sucich, Pilot Officer, on probation, with effect 17 December 1979.

Promotions

The following officers are promoted to the rank and with seniority from the dates shown:
