HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 5 (1) (a) of the Technicians Training Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Dental Technician Training Council Order 1973, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dental Technician Training Council Order 1973* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by clause A. 11, and substituting the following clause:
"A. 11.2 Upon receipt of the details, the Council shall issue a Certificate of Completion.
"A. 11.3 The forms of Certificates of Completion may differ according to the circumstances under which the contract is terminated."
- The Schedule to the principal order is hereby further amended by revoking subclauses A. 12.1 and A. 12.2 of clause A. 12, and substituting the following subclauses:
"A. 12.1 A dental technician cadet is a full time trainee who, during the term of the contract, is employed full time by the employer, subject to release for minimum periods to attend technical classes approved by the Dental Technician Training Council.
"A. 12.2 A dental technician cadet who is first released to attend technical classes in or before the year 1980 shall be released to attend such classes for at least 8 weeks in each year.
"A. 12.3 A dental technician cadet who is first released to attend technical classes in or after the year 1981 shall be released to attend such classes for at least 3 periods of 12 weeks during the term of the contract.
"A. 12.4 The time spent by dental technician cadets in technical education, as provided in subclause 12.2 or subclause 12.3 of this clause, shall be counted as ordinary hours of work and as time served."
