The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment
Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 8403/A3 Draft Amendment No. 3 to NZS 8403:1973
Grades of meat and definitions of cuts of meat for sale
on the New Zealand market.

This proposed amendment will change the requirements
for choice grade pigmeat, standard grade pigmeat, and manu-
facturing (chopper) grade pigmeat, to make provision for
marketing entire male pigs as choice grade and standard
grade.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and
who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the
Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center,
15-23 Sturdee Street, Wellington 1.
The closing date for receipt of comment is 30 January
1981.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5430 Protective helmets for vehicle users. $1.

This draft is Australian Standard AS 1698:1974 (including
Amendment No. 1 (September 1977), and No. 2 (May 1978)).
It is proposed as a New Zealand Standard to upgrade the
requirements governing the manufacturing and testing of pro-
tective helmets for vehicle users which are at present set out
in NZS 1214, NZS 1215, and NZS 1864.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and
who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the
price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand,
World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag),
Wellington.
Note.—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 13 February
1981.
