The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation
NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.
Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 6 November 1980.

- NZS 507:1962 (BS 634:1961) Air-drying insulating finishing varnish for electrical purposes.
- NZ CP 23:1960 (BSI/CP 1009:1959) Maintenance of insulating oil (with special reference to transformers and switchgear).
A later British standard of similar title has been recommended for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

BS 5730:1979 Code of practice for maintenance of insulating oil. $12.25.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 4301 Installation and operation of intruder alarm systems. $6.00 (Revision of NZS 4301:1974).
This draft standard gives the general requirements for the installation and operation of intruder alarm systems.
The draft is intended to form a basis for the contract between a subscriber and an alarm company, but it does not specify the extent or degree of protection to be provided, nor does it necessarily cover all the requirements for a particular installation. It is intended to assist insurers, alarm companies, subscribers, and the police in achieving a complete and accurate specification of the protection required in particular premises.
