The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Description of Draft
DZ 3614/A2 Draft amendment to NZS 3614:1971. The manufacture of construction plywood.

The proposed amendments will limit the gap size permitted in the assembly of veneers into construction plywood, and will update the standard in line with DZ 3603 and with the requirements of New Zealand's overseas markets.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 1 April 1980.

DZ 3615 Strength properties and design methods for construction plywood. (Revision of NZS 3615:1974)

This draft revision updates the standard to provide the material properties and other authoritative technical data needed by New Zealand designers and manufacturers, particularly in manufacturing for export.
