RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A RESERVE AND
RECREATION GROUND TO BE VESTED IN COUNCIL, IN TRUST,
FOR THAT PURPOSE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rodney County Council
intends to acquire for recreation purposes that land described
in the Schedule hereto pursuant to the Public Works Act
1928.
And notice is further given that a plan showing the said
area of land is deposited at the office of the Council situated
at Centreway Road, Orewa, and may there be inspected by
all persons without fee during ordinary office hours.
Any person directly affected should set forth in writing
any objection he may wish to make to the acquisition of the
said land for recreation purposes by the Council, not being
an objection to the amount or payment of compensation and
send same to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning
Appeal Board, P.O. Box 12-244, Wellington North, so as to
reach the appeal board not later than the 4 December 1979,
being 40 days after the first publication of this notice.
If any objection is received, a public hearing of the same
will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each
objector will be advised of the time, date, and place of the
hearing.

northern confines of Rodney County.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH
LAND IN MANSFIELD STREET IS HELD
The Wellington City Council intends to change the purpose
for which the land described in the Schedule below is set
apart and vested in the said Council, from "car sheds in
connection with electric tramways" to "road", pursuant to
section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952.
A copy of the plan showing the area concerned is available
for free inspection during normal office hours at the office of
the City Solicitor, Seventh Floor, Municipal Offices, Mercer
Street.
Persons affected by the proposed change and wishing to
object to it, should lodge their objections in writing with the
Town Clerk, Wellington City Council, Municipal Office
Building, Mercer Street, Wellington (P.O. Box 2199), on, or
before the 10th December 1979.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land comprising 478 square metres, coloured
orange on Survey Office Plan 28023, being part of the land at
the corner of, and between Mansfield Street and Russell
Terrace, Newtown, and comprising part of the land in
certificate of title 364/99 (Wellington Registry).
EXPLANATION—This is part of the former City Newtown
Fire Station of which parts have already been the subject of
"housing purposes" proclamations, and part is to be vested
in the Fire Service Commission. The land described in the
Schedule is the narrow corner which is to the north of the
Fire Station.
