Environmental Impact Report Notified—Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve

THE Commission for the Environment has received an environmental impact report, prepared by the Fisheries Management Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, on a proposal to declare a marine reserve in the sea surrounding the Poor Knights Islands.

Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the proposal and on the report are invited, and should be sent to the Commission for the Environment, P.O. Box 11244, Wellington, before 20 October 1979.

Copies of the report may be obtained from the Fisheries Management Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, P.O. Box 2298, Wellington, or Private Bag, Whangarei.

The report may be read at the public library in Whangarei, school libraries on the Tutukaka Coast, as well as libraries of the 4 main centres and the 7 university institutions.
