FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Wairoa County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Hawke’s Bay-Gisborne Land District boundary being Trig Station J, Pukehoe in Block VI, Nuhaka North Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block VI, Nuhaka North Survey District, to the northern corner of Section 1, Block VI, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence south-westerly, southerly, and north-easterly along the north-western, western, and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 1 to its easternmost point; thence south-easterly again along the north-east boundary of Section 2, Block VI, Nuhaka North Survey District, across Tarewa Road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Nuhaka North Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Puringa Stream; thence southerly generally down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the production of the southern boundary of Section 11, Block XI, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and southerly generally along the eastern side of Tarewa Road to a road angle opposite the north-western corner of Section 16, Block XI, Nuhaka North Survey District, and a right line across Tarewa Road to that northernmost corner of Section 16 aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the production of the south-western side of Tarewa Road also being the north-eastern end of Maraeataha Road to the western side of Tarewa Road; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of part Section 3, Block X, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 2, Block VI, Nuhaka North Survey District, to its southernmost point; thence north-easterly generally along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said Section 2 to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, being portion of the Te Aroha Riding of the Cook County containing 23 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Cook County boundary, being the eastern-most corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Tuahu Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 20, D.P. 1950, and its production to the middle of the Ohineteawai Stream, down the middle of that stream to and down the middle of the Kawaimanga Stream to the middle of the Hangaroa River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of the Hangaroa River to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 13, Block XIII, Ngatapa Survey District, and the abutment of a road; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig Station F, Block IV, Tuahu Survey District, along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 20 and 19, D.P. 1950, and the northern boundary of the said Lot 19 to the north-western corner of that Lot, being a point on the Cook County boundary; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 1950, to Papanui-Ruakituri Road, along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 21, D.P. 1951, to the easternmost corner of that Lot; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Lot 20, D.P. 1950, to the point of commencement.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

The following are placed on the Retired List of Officers of the RNZN, with effect from the dates shown:
Commander Roi Edward Williams, 10 July 1979.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander D. L. B. Marriott is extended to 12 March 1985.
Lieutenant J. A. Stoakes to be Lieutenant Commander, with seniority and effect from 17 July 1979.
The appointment of Lieutenant D. G. Pringle is extended to 30 June 1989.
Instructor Lieutenant Michael Desmond Woods, B.A., DIP. TECH., is placed on the Emergency List of RNZN Officers until 3 June 1983, with effect from 4 June 1979.
Lieutenant Wayne Maurice Taylor is placed on the Emergency List of RNZN Officers until 8 July 1983, with effect from 9 July 1979.
The appointment of Lieutenant J. R. Steer is extended to 2 January 1993.
The appointment of Lieutenant A. W. Lowndes is confirmed, with effect from 2 July 1979.
The following Sub Lieutenants to be Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from the dates shown:

D. G. Burnett, 7 August 1979.
Sub Lieutenant L. C. J. Somervell to be temp. Lieutenant, with effect from 12 July 1979.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE

The engagement of Lieutenant Kevin Christian Manie is terminated, at his own request, with effect from 29 May 1979.
Sub Lieutenant (acting Lieutenant) G. W. J. Briggs to be Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 14 July 1979.
The following Ensigns to be temp. Sub Lieutenant, with effect from the dates shown:
G. T. Ballantyne, 4 May 1979.
G. P. Liddy, 23 April 1979.
M. J. Riepen, 23 April 1979.
S. M. Robertson, 1 May 1979.
The appointment of Ensign John David Hammond is terminated, with effect from 5 July 1979.
John Gavin Bradley is appointed to the RNZNVR in the rank of Lieutenant (on prob.), with seniority and effect from 1 August 1979, terminating on 19 May 1992.

RETIRED LIST OF THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Lieutenant V. J. Harris is transferred to the Territorial Force, New Zealand Army, with effect from 29 May 1978.

EMERGENCY LIST OF THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander Keith Austin Pearcey, C.ENG., M.I.MAR.E., is placed on the Retired List of Officers of the RNZN, with effect from 24 July 1979.
The period of service of Lieutenant Cameron Brett Cochrane Hill on the Emergency List of the RNZN is terminated, with effect from 31 July 1979.

EMERGENCY LIST OF THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE

The period of service of Lieutenant Robert Shand Finney on the Emergency List of the RNZNVR is terminated, with effect from 29 June 1979.
