Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee, on 6 July 1979, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Licensed Premises known as the D.B. Onerahi Hotel.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Christmas Eve and New Years Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every Friday and Saturday (between the 29th day of October each year and the following 3rd day of March each year)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On every Friday and Saturday (between the 3rd day of March and the following 29th day of October each year)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the evening for the Portland Lounge only, and 10 o’clock in the evening for the remainder of the said premises.

A condition that noise control equipment be installed, maintained, and operated by the applicant in the Portland Lounge to the satisfaction of the Whangarei City Council Health Inspector.

An exemption has been granted to the provisions of section 187, subsection (1) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 for the hours between 10 o’clock in the evening until 11 o’clock in the evening each Friday and Saturday falling between the 3rd day of March and the following 29th day of October each year.
