Declaration of Twin Tyred Axles

PURSUANT to regulation 2 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby declares that the axles described in the Schedule hereto are twin tyred axles for the purposes of the said regulations.

The notice dated the 16th day of November 1973†, which relates to the declaration of twin tyred axles, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

AXLES that are equipped with two or more tyres of:

(a) A designated tyre section width of 13 inches and a rim diameter of 24 inches or greater at the bead seat; or,

(b) A designated tyre section width of 14 inches or greater and a rim diameter of 20 inches or greater at the bead seat,

and in either case having a tyre inflation not exceeding 414 kPa (60 pounds per sq. in.).
