Appointment of Magistrate

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint, pursuant to section 5 of the Magistrate’s Court Act 1947,

Gordon Bruce Fea,

of Invercargill, barrister and solicitor, to be a Stipendiary Magistrate to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand.

Appointment of Chairman to the Licensing Control Commission

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint, pursuant to section 4 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962,

Gordon Bruce Fea,

Stipendiary Magistrate, to be a member and Chairman of the Licensing Control Commission for a term of 5 years from the 1st day of July 1979.

Reappointment of Member of the Prisons Parole Board

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to reappoint, pursuant to section 31 of the Criminal Justice Act 1956,

John Donald Murray, Esquire,

Stipendiary Magistrate of Dunedin, to be a member of the Prisons Parole Board for a further term of 3 years on and from 10 August 1979.

Reappointment of Chairman to the Chiropractic Board

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to reappoint, pursuant to section 3 (3) of the Chiropractic Act 1960,

Alexander James Lloyd Martin, Esquire,

Stipendiary Magistrate of Wellington, to be Chairman of the Chiropractic Board for a further term of 3 years on and from 11 September 1979.

Chairman of the Tobacco Board Reappointed

PURSUANT to sections 4 and 5 of the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1974, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby reappoints

Mr Eric Stinson Highet, JP, of Nelson

as chairman of the Tobacco Board for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1979.

PURSUANT to section 5 of the National Art Gallery, Museum, and War Memorial Act 1972, the Minister of Internal Affairs has appointed:

to be a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Art Gallery, Museum, and War Memorial, for a term expiring on 31 March 1982.
