HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Henderson taken on 20 June 1979 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $500,000 to be known as the Roading Loan 1978 for the purpose of reconstructing roads and footpaths in the Borough resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 554
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 348
The number of informal votes was 2

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Wellington Regional Water Board Act 1972:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington Regional Water Board, a board duly constituted under the provisions of the Wellington Regional Water Board Act 1972, and being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and under the provisions of all other Acts and by all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a public work, namely river control, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for soil conservation and river control purposes, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and there numbered Survey Office Plan No. 25767 is exhibited at the offices of the Board, M.E.D. Building, 40-44 Cuba Street, Wellington, and it is there available for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours. All persons who are affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands and who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands or any of them should state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Secretary of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, care of Tribunals Division, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington; and notice is hereby further given that if any objection is received as aforesaid and unless the objector otherwise requires, a public hearing of such objection will be held and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 5893 square metres, more or less, being part Section 8, Hutt District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 147, folio 110 (Wellington Registry), and shown coloured orange on S.O. Plan 25767.

The foregoing parcel of land is situated in the Petone Borough lying to the north of Heretaunga Street comprises portion of the western arm of the Hutt River in that vicinity and is shown on the above-mentioned title as being in the name of the Mudgway Estate Land Co. Ltd.

NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD

The Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the auction sale of wool held on 21 June 1979, at Auckland, was 231.30 cents per kilogram.

This price is above the Government Supplementary Minimum Wool Price of 205 cents per kilogram (greasy average basis) no supplement is payable.

There is likewise no retention applicable as the A.W.A.S.P. is less than the Trigger Price of 250 cents per kilogram set by the Minister of Agriculture for the 1978–79 wool season.
