Tariff Notice No. 1979/93—Applications for Variation of Approval

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for variation of current approvals of the Minister of Customs as follows:

90.02.009 REQUESTED APPROVAL: Lenses, camera: (a) having a focal length of 127 mm (5 in.) or over, including zoom lenses which contain a minimum focal length of 127 mm (5 in.), within their zooming range (b) wide angle, giving an angular field of view exceeding 55 degrees, based on the diagonal of the negative for which the camera is constructed, including zoom lenses which contain within their zooming range conformity to the preceding angle of view specification

The identification reference to the application number indicates the office to which any objections should be made.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing to the appropriate office as indicated by the identification reference on or before 12 July 1979. Submissions should include a reference to the identification reference, application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned and be supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
