The Traffic (Masterton County) Notice No. 1, 1979
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Masterton County) Notice No. 1, 1979.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
-
The Traffic (Masterton County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 12th day of July 1971†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Masterton County at Mauriceville, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Masterton County at Mauriceville:
Kaiparoro Road: from a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the Masterton-Woodville railway level crossing situated immediately north-east of Mauriceville township to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along Kaiparoro Road from Limeworks Road.

East Otago High School Board of Governors Notice 1979
PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964 the Minister of Education gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the East Otago High School Board of Governors Notice 1979.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1979.
- The constitution of the East Otago High School Board of Governors shall be as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board.
(b) Six members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school.
(c) Two members elected by the school committees of the following State Primary Schools, namely, Dunback School, Flagswamp School, Karitane School, Moeraki School, Palmerston School, and Waikouaiti School.
(d) One member appointed by the Waitaki County Council, the Waihemo County Council, and the Silver Peaks County Council.
(e) One member elected by the teacher of the school.
- This notice is in substitution for the East Otago High School Board of Governors Notice 1973*.

Appointment of Plant Varieties Office and Its Hours of Business (Notice No. 2152, PV 1/1)
PURSUANT to section 5 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973, notice is hereby given that, from the 14th day of May 1979:

The appointed place of the Plant Varieties Office shall be Lincoln College, Lincoln, Canterbury.
-
The Plant Varieties Office shall be open for the transaction of public business from Monday to Friday inclusive during the hours between 9 a.m. and noon, and 1 p.m. and 3.30 p.m., except that the Plant Varieties Office shall be closed on the following days—
(a) The holiday observed in Canterbury as Anniversary Day, the 10th day of November;
(b) New Zealand Day, the 6th day of February, when this falls on a weekday;
(c) Good Friday to Easter Tuesday inclusive;
(d) Anzac Day, the 25th day of April, when this falls on a weekday;
(e) The holiday observed as the Sovereign’s birthday (usually the first Monday in June);
(f) Labour Day, the fourth Monday in October;
(g) The days from the 24th day of December, or if this day falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the preceding Friday, to
(i) The 3rd day of January in any year when New Year’s Day falls on a Monday or Tuesday; or
(ii) The 5th day of January in any year when New Year’s Day falls on a Wednesday, a Thursday, a Friday, or a Saturday.
- This notice replaces Notice No. 978 of the 14th day of November 1974, notified in the New Zealand Gazette, on the 21st day of November 1974, No. 114, p. 2648.
