“'Ohakune Mountain Road' means that portion of the public road from Ohakune Junction to its terminus at 1616 metres above mean sea level on Mount Ruapehu commencing at the Ranger Station operated by the Tongariro National Park Board and finishing at the said terminus.

'Transport Station' means a place designated by the county by means of a painted signboard with a background of yellow on which is painted in black lettering not less than 3 cm in height the words 'Chain Fitting Service' such place being a rectangular portion of the roadway one side stretching a distance of 8 metres on either side of such signboard and the other parallel thereto and situate at a distance of 5 metres from the first mentioned side.

  1. No person, whether acting on his own account, or as the servant of another person, shall on the Ohakune Mountain Road engage in the business of offering to the public a chain fitting service without having first obtained a licence from the county so to do.

  2. Every licence issued under the provisions of this bylaw shall be in such form as the county may by resolution from time to time prescribe.

  3. Every licence holder under this bylaw shall within 7 days of being asked so to do by any Police officer, traffic officer or authorised officer of the county produce the same for inspection.

  4. Every licence issued under this bylaw shall be issued subject to such conditions as this bylaw prescribes.

  5. Should the holder of any licence granted pursuant to this bylaw be convicted of any offence thereunder the county may immediately thereupon revoke such licence or suspend the same for so long as it may think fit.

  6. No licence holder shall be permitted to operate under his licence earlier than 0830 hours or later than 1630 hours New Zealand Standard Time.

  7. Every licence holder shall operate his business only from a transport station designated by the county as a tyre chain fitting area and upon being requested so to do by any Police officer or traffic officer or duly authorised officer of the county, and as often as so requested, shall alter his position from the transport station from which he is then conducting his business to such other transport station indicated by such officer.

  8. Every holder of a licence while exercising or carrying on such business shall have affixed on some conspicuous place on the exterior of every vehicle which he uses for such purposes a board or plate bearing his name and the words 'Licenced Chain Fitting Operator' legibly painted thereon in letters not less than 3 cm in height.

  9. Any person who shall obstruct any Police officer, traffic officer or authorised officer of the board in the exercise of any powers herein conferred upon such officer or not being the holder of a licence shall park a vehicle on or in any manner obstruct a transport station between the hours specified in clause 8 hereof otherwise than for the purpose of having chains fitted to adjusted on or removed from such vehicle shall be guilty of an offence under this bylaw.

  10. Any person who shall do or cause to be done or knowingly permits or suffers to be done, or is concerned in doing anything whatsoever contrary to this bylaw shall be guilty of an offence under this bylaw.

This bylaw was made by way of Special Order passed at a meeting of the council held in Raetihi on the 19th day of April 1979.

RONALD CLARK and BARRY EYLES, formerly carrying on business as electrical contractors in partnership with Cosmic Developments Ltd., under the firm name of Cosmic Electrical, hereby give notice that the said partnership was dissolved on 23 April 1979 and that they are now again carrying on business as electrical contractors in partnership with each other under the name of Clark & Eyles, from 9 Bellona Place, Porirua.

Notice is hereby given that on the 17th day of April 1979 Lane's Industries Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Levin, registered with the Registrar of Companies, at Wellington, a sealed copy of an Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand confirming a special resolution passed by Lane's Industries Ltd., on the 21st day of February 1979, authorising distribution of the sum of Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($49,560) standing to the credit of the share premium account in the books of Lane's Industries Ltd.

The Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the auction sale of wool held on 23 April 1979 at Wanganui/Wellington, was 233.20 cents per kilogram.

As this price is above the Government Supplementary Minimum Wool Price of 205 cents per kilogram (greasy average basis) no supplement is payable.

There is likewise no retention applicable as the A.W.A.S.P. is less than the Trigger Price of 250 cents per kilogram set by the Minister of Agriculture for the 1978–79 wool season.
