IN THE MATTER of the CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957, and IN
THE MATTER of certain gifts made by ALEXANDER GERRIE
now deceased to the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH PROPERTY
TRUSTEES:

NOTICE is hereby given that the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH PRO-
PETY TRUSTEES, have applied to the Supreme Court at
Wellington for the approval of a scheme, under Part III of
the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, to vary certain gifts made by
ALEXANDER GERRIE, now deceased, to the Trustees.

The scheme proposes that the trustees shall henceforth hold
the property described as Lot 48, on Deposited Plan No.
22507, being all the land in certificate of title F1/842, and
situate at No. 201 Dowse Drive, Maungaraki, upon trust for
St. Stephens Church, Lower Hutt, as a manse on the trusts
set forth in the Second Schedule to the Presbyterian Church
Property Act 1885.

The property was originally held on trust as a home for
deaconesses or other women workers of the Presbyterian
Church in the Hutt Valley. It is proposed that this application
will be heard by the Supreme Court, at Wellington, on the
23rd day of May 1979, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.

Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is hereby required
to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar
of the Supreme Court, at Wellington, and to the Presbyterian
Church Property Trustees, and to the Attorney General, not
later than 7 clear days before the said 23rd day of May 1979.

The application, scheme, and report of the Attorney General
thereon are open for inspection by the public without any fee
or charge.
