RANGITIKEI — WANGANUI CATCHMENT BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Rangitikei - Wanganui Catchment Board.

Notice is hereby given that the Rangitikei - Wanganui Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take land for the purpose of soil conservation and river control. The land required to be taken is that described in the schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the land so required are deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of the said board, which is situate in Hammond Street, Marton, and are open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the land (not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation if any) must state their objection in writing and send the same to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeals Board, P.O. Box 12244, Wellington North, so as to reach him no later than forty (40) days after the first publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

The area of land is 285.3148 hectares approximately, be the same a little more or less, situate in the Land Registration District of Wellington, as more particularly described hereafter.
