ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of the City of Porirua and containing 54.7100 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 10, D.P. 22862, and proceeding south-westerly along the production of the north-western boundary of the said Lot 10 to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 45, Porirua District, in Block VII, Belmont Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9126; thence southerly, westerly, south-westerly, thence, generally, northerly, along the generally western boundary of the Borough of Tawa as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, p. 2123, to the point of commencement.

FOURTH SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of the Borough of Tawa and containing 26 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 47, D.P. 32935, and proceeding south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Lot 120, Land Transfer Plan 48945, to its westernmost corner and along a right line to Trig Reservoir No. 2 and the production of that right line to the southern boundary of Section 49, Porirua District, situated in Block V, Belmont Survey District; thence westerly and, generally, north-easterly along the southern and north-western boundaries of the Borough of Tawa as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, p. 2123, to the point of commencement.

FIFTH SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of the City of Wellington and containing 21.2439 hectares, more or less, being Section 118, Ohariu District, situated in Blocks VI and VII, Belmont Survey District.

Licence Empowering Auckland Young Men’s Christian Association to Hold 26 perches of Land in the City of Auckland

KEITH HOLYOAKE, Governor-General

WHEREAS the Auckland Young Men’s Christian Association (hereinafter called the Company) was duly incorporated on the 29th day of February 1896 under the Companies Act 1882 and was registered with limited liability without the addition of the word “Limited” to its name in pursuance of an Order in Council in that behalf made on the 11th day of June 1895:

And whereas the Company is prevented by the proviso to section 28 of the Companies Act 1955 from holding more than 2 acres of land without the licence of the Governor-General in Council:

And whereas the Company desires to expand its recreational facilities in the City of Auckland by the acquisition of the land described in the Schedule to this licence:

And whereas the Company already holds more than 2 acres of land with the licence of the Governor-General in Council:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 28 of the Companies Act 1955, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and at the request of the Company, do, by this licence, empower the Company to hold the piece of land described in the Schedule to this licence.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 26 perches, more or less, situated in the City of Auckland, being Allotment 62 of Section 28 of the Town of Auckland being all that land comprised and described in certificate of title No. 750/29 (Auckland Registry).

Given in Executive Council under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 23rd day of January 1979.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander C. R. Vennell, O.B.E., reverts voluntarily to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and to be acting Commander, with effect from 5 March 1979; his appointment is extended to 4 March 1982.

Commander G. F. Hopkins, C.ENG., M.I.MECH.E., to be acting Captain, with effect from 7 February 1979, and Captain with seniority and effect from 9 February 1979.

Lieutenant Commander K. N. Cameron, M.B.E., to be Commander, with seniority and effect from 5 February 1979.

Lieutenant Commander L. P. Mason, C.ENG., M.I.MECH.E., M.I.E.E., to be acting Commander, with effect from 1 February 1979, and temp. Commander with effect from 1 February 1979.

Lieutenant Commander C. A. Dixon, C.ENG., F.I.M.A.R.E., to be acting Commander with effect from 21 February 1979, and Commander with seniority and effect from 28 February 1979. The appointments of the following are extended to the dates shown:

Lieutenant Commander D. A. Cootes, C.ENG., M.I.MARE., M.N.Z.I.E., 15 July 1984.

Lieutenant Commander J. Murray, 22 June 1982.

Instructor Lieutenant Clive Cooper, M.SC.(HONS.), DIP.ED., is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN until 9 January 1983, with effect from 10 January 1979.

Lieutenant N. T. Byrne to be Lieutenant Commander, with seniority and effect from 16 February 1979.
