  2. All that area described in the Schedule to the Proclamation altering the boundaries of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District issued on the 15th day of December 1941 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 106, 18 December 1941, p. 3937.

  3. All that area described in the Schedule to the Proclamation altering the boundaries of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District issued on the 5th day of April 1945 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 24, 12 April 1945, p. 383.

Open Season for Game in a Described Area of the Firth of Thames for the 1979 Game Season

PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs declares an open season for game in that area of the Firth of Thames hereinafter named the Firth of Thames Open Game Area, and being that area that is enclosed between the boundary of the Auckland Acclimatisation District and a line connecting the points on that boundary by passing through Orere Point on the west side of the Firth and the southern headland of Fantail Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula, subject to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule hereto.

The attention of sportsmen and others is drawn to the daily game possession limits set forth in the First Schedule hereto and to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953, and the Wildlife Regulations 1955.

FIRST SCHEDULE

DAILY GAME POSSESSION LIMIT

EXCEPT where all game is labelled with the following details:
(a) The name and address of the person by whom the game was taken;
(b) The number of the licence to hunt or kill game held by the person by whom the game was taken;
(c) The name of the acclimatisation society by which that licence was issued; and
(d) The date on which the game was taken.

No person shall have in his possession on any one day game in excess of the following numbers:
Saturday, 5 May 1979: A number of game corresponding to the number specified in this notification as the daily bag limit.
Sunday, 6 May 1979: Twice the number of game specified for Saturday, 5 May 1979.
Every subsequent day: As for Saturday, 5 May 1979.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck
Pukeko
Black swan

5 May to 17 June 1979 incl.

Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck, 15 in all.

Pukeko, 6.
Black swan, 2.

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Decoy limit: No limit.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SUBJECT to the conditions prescribed in this notice and to the Wildlife Act 1953, and Wildlife Regulations 1955, any person holding a licence to hunt or kill game in all acclimatisation districts of the North Island of New Zealand for the 1979 season may hunt or kill game in the Firth of Thames Open Game Area.
