WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Waikohu County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely the construction of sanitary works to wit sewage oxidation ponds, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Waikohu County Council offices at Te Karaka and at the Post Office at Te Karaka, and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth such objection in writing and send the same within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Planning Tribunal, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing 5.2300 hectares, more or less, being part Karaka No. 7 Block, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 3A, folio 398, Gisborne Registry, as shown on S.O. 6977.

The said land adjoins the Waipaoa River on its northerly boundary and has access to State Highway No. 2 by an access strip or carriageway giving access to the said State highway at a point approximately 730 metres on the Gisborne side of Ioapa Road, Te Karaka township. The said land is shown marked ‘A’ on the said plan.

NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD

Pursuant to regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that the Adjusted Weighted Average Sale Price for the sale held on 29 November 1979 at Christchurch was 271.46 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).

As this price is above the Government Supplementary Minimum Wool Price of 235 cents per kilogram (greasy basis) no supplement is payable on wool until further notice.

There is likewise no grower retention levy payable in terms of section 42 of the Wool Industry Act 1977, as the A.W.A.S.P. is less than the ruling Trigger Price of 300 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).
