Te Anau Fire District Notice 1979
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
Title and commencement:
(1) This notice may be cited as the Te Anau Fire District Notice 1979.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of December 1979. -
The Te Anau Fire District, declared to be a fire district by the Fire Service Act 1975, is hereby abolished, and a fire district to be known as the Te Anau Fire District is hereby constituted.

The boundaries of the Te Anau Fire District constituted by this notice are defined in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Block III, Te Anau Survey District, and proceeding southerly along the eastern boundary of that block to the middle of the Upukerora River; thence westerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the generally south-western boundary of Section 2, Block VIII, Mararoa Survey District; thence by a right line generally south-easterly to and along the generally south-western boundary
of that section and its production to the middle of the Kakapo Road; thence generally south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally western boundary of Section 32, Block IX, Mararoa Survey District; thence by a right line to and generally southerly along that boundary to the south-western corner of that section; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 18 aforesaid to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 49 aforesaid; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence by a right line on a bearing of 118Β° 57' to the middle of the Whitestone River; thence generally southerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 46, Block IV, Mararoa Survey District; thence by a right line to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 46 aforesaid to the north-western side of Lynwood Road; thence by a right line to and across that road to the northern corner of Section 17, Block IV, Mararoa Survey District; thence generally southerly along the generally eastern boundaries of Sections 17 and 14 aforesaid to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the north-western boundary of part P.R. 1; thence north-easterly, south-easterly, and south-westerly along the north-western, north-eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of part P.R. 1 and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Whitestone Road; thence generally south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally eastern boundary of Section 22, Block IV, Mararoa Survey District; thence by a right line to and generally southerly along the generally eastern boundary of that section to the south-eastern corner of Section 22 aforesaid; thence generally westerly along the generally southern boundary of that section and its production to the middle of No. 94 State Highway; thence generally northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally southern boundary of Block IV, Mararoa Survey District; thence generally westerly along the generally southern boundary of Block IV aforesaid and the southern boundary of Block II, Manapouri Survey District to the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block II, Manapouri Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to the left bank of the Waiua River; thence generally northerly along the left bank of the Waiua River to Lake Te Anau; thence generally north-easterly along the eastern shore of Lake Te Anau to the northern boundary of Block III, Te Anau Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Block III, aforesaid to the point of commencement.
